You can only have one and are only required to start two backs. Gio as 2nd rounder, Doug Martin as 3rd rounder, Pierre as 4th rounder. Which scenario would you take.

If you're one who's scared of Gio losing carries in Cincy, I don't know how you're not scared shitless about the D. Martin situation Tampa. Coordinator is already on record saying that they'll be using a revolving rotation in that backfield this season.

Jeff Tedford already said Tampa will employ a timeshare

Martin
Mike James
Bobby Rainey
Jeff Demps

quote:

"I think you have to alternate. Even when we had 2,000 yard rushers – J.J. Arrington was 2,000 yard rusher – and then we had a couple of times where we had guys with 1,000 yards a piece, but I don’t believe one back can carry the load, it’s just too physical. I think you need to have probably two to three guys that bring different things to the table, but I think you need to at least have two to be able to spell them here and there and keep them healthy and that type of thing. That’s the goal, is try to create some depth right there where there’s not a drop off when one guy goes in, the other guy comes out, there’s no drop off, we just keep going."

You forgot their 3rd round draft pick Charles Sims, lol. He fits Tedford's scheme perfectly. I would look for Demps to be a training camp body only, and then Rainey and James battling it out for the RB3 spot. Or possibly they keep both, somehow.

Gio Bernard - Gio split with BJGE last year, Gio had 170 rushes and BJGE had 220 rushes. Gio also had 56 catches last year, both his rushes and catches will go up this year. J-Hill will not steal much from Gio, except goal line carries.

I disagree. Hill will be the best rookie running back. Book it.
