The hypocrisy of this network is pretty astounding. Had any Republican, particularly a Republican in Congressional leadership, made the "Five white men" comment, they would be crucified. MSNBC includes the quote in the linked page and doesn't even address it. Where the hell are Al Sharpton, Touré and Melissa Harris Perry?

Those guys never fail to disappoint.

quote:

For the Senate Democratic leadership, the question isn’t whether the chamber will tackle this bill, but rather, when. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said yesterday the Protect Women’s Health From Corporate Interference Act will be near the top of his to-do list.

“The one thing we’re going to do during this work period, sooner rather than later, is to ensure that women’s lives are not determined by virtue of five white men,” Reid said.

Looking ahead, there are two broad angles to keep an eye on.

The first is whether the bill can pass legal muster. After all, it’s not as if the legislative branch can simply overturn a Supreme Court ruling by passing a bill.

But note that the Hobby Lobby ruling wasn’t based on the First Amendment, but rather, something called the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) from the 1990s. The new proposal from Murray and her allies intends to clarify this area of the law; its constitutional merit is not in question.

If you had the right political perspective you would understand.

Unfortunately, I cannot help you.

Dude, I tried to go easy on you, but you are stirring it up. Do you honestly want these five white men determining the lives of women? Do you?!?

He's a credit to his race, and therefore an oreo. Or a coconut, if you prefer.

Basically, he's trying to say Clarence Thomas is an Uncle Tom, ok? Just go with it

Stop being silly. He wasn't referring to Thomas when referring to the 5th white man.

He's the worst politician in this country today. There really isn't a more detestable politician than him. He could write the book on demagoguery and it would be gospel for future politicians. He lies, lies and constantly lies. For example, there really is no doubt where and how he got Romney's tax info. He's a slimeball piece of shite.

Putting aside the inanity of his remark (ie Clarence Thomas) the ruling would have been ok if issued by 4 white men and 1 "real" black man? Or 3 white men and 2 black men? Or 5 black men? Honestly, I will be happy when Harry Reid dies.
