Melissa McCarthy, that's what. A female John Candy, she's not.

4.6 for a major motion picture release. Has there been a worse IMDB rating?

This. I can't stand her. She tries WAAAAAAAAAY too hard to be funny. If she just dialed back the crass a little, just a little, she'd be hilarious.

I like her.

I think she is much funnier and talented than the TV/Movie board gives her credit for.

She's becoming the female Adam Sandler.

I think I hated her charater in "Identity Thief" more than I have hated any character/human being ever. I wanted to shoot the TV.

I don't like her. I REALLY don't like her. I felt bad about not liking her at first because I thought maybe it was some form of latent sexism. I don't think that's the case, though. A man doing the same stupid shite, I wouldn't care for them either.

Tammy was damn funny.

She's the best guest host that SNL has going right now.

People can't handle a female comedian who isn't attractive.

I feel like her film career is doing a disservice to the cast of Mike and Molly. The supporting cast of that show is dang funny, but because she gets the major film roles, I feel like that show won't be around much longer, and a bunch of actually funny people will be out of steady jobs.

Edit: Not saying she's not talented herself, but with her being wanted for films so much, she won't be on TV for much longer.

Yep. The character was unlikeable and the movie was wholly unfunny

The part on Bridesmaids where she talks about falling off a cruise ship gets me everytime.

Other than that I really haven't seen to many of her movies.

This. McCarthey had a great opening sketch, but most of the rest of the episode was crap, even by SNL standards.

He's great, but he's at that point where he's built up his own set of characters, turning his appearances into "great hits of the past" episodes.

You can watch his appearances with a checklist...

Rapping fast food item... Check.
Bee Gees... Check.
Dick in a Box... Check.

Stop. She isn't a comedian. She's a walking disaster film directed by a special ed kid.

Maria Bamford is hilarious and looks like a fricking scarecrow. Attractiveness has nothing to do with it.
