House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) disagrees with Republicans calling for the impeachment of President Obama. Former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Tuesday joined a growing chorus of Republicans calling for the impeachment of Obama, writing in an op-ed that the influx of young illegal immigrants over the southern border "is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, 'no mas.' " "I disagree," Boehner said when asked by reporters Wednesday morning. When a reporter pointed out that some House Republicans also are calling for impeachment, Boehner said again: "I disagree."

Impeaching Obama is a stupid idea, and I say this as someone who has hated everything about his administration.

This. Is Impeachment justified? Possibly, but there is not enough irrefutable proof to make the case. Is it a good idea? It's about as smart as shooting yourself in the chest with a nail gun.

If you ever want to understand what it is truly like to be surrounded by retards, ask John Boehner.

I feel for the guy.

Last night she said GOP leadership lacked cojones. She's right on that account but I don't agree with calling for impeachment.

Obama is a failure and he's doing more to hurt liberalism at this point. Concentrate on the 2014 and 2016 elections and allow barry to diminish himself, his party and his ideology.

Yep, because he would be gone by the time anything happened anyway.

But, would calling for his impeachment and starting the process somehow render him more of a lame duck? Wouldn't you see him become basically dead in getting anything done because Dems would start seriously distancing themselves from him?

I second this. Even if there is a document with him dead to rights, we have more important tasks at hand.

In a perfect world, he would be impeached and removed. This world ain't perfect.

I worry about the precedent this sets.

Future Presidents may act with absolute impunity simply because they know that it's not politically viable for the opposition party to bring impeachment charges.

You don't overturn elections on speculation or frivolous bs, which is why "high crimes" is required for impeachment.

I don't know which is worse, listening to Palin talking about impeachment or listening to the media talking about Palin talking about impeachment.

This. It's not worth the effort at this point, just try to block him from destroying this country any further.

Impeachment is a preposterous idea. If it were revealed that Obama had some direct hand in IRS targeting, that's an impeachable offense. As it is now, this is nothing more than Palin trying to throw red meat around.

It would be a political catastrophe for Republicans.

this is absolutely a fricking retarded idea.

Obama is a failed president, I doubt many would disagree with this. But he has done nothing to warrant impeachment. If you disagree, please tell me what it is he did. And how you have proof that it ties directly to him.

Republicans attempted to impeach the last democratic president. And there were calls to impeach bush. This is not a good trend. Just b.c you don't like someone's policies doesn't mean that justifies impeachment. We need to have some responsibility here and live with the choices we make as a society.

Boehner is a moron. He's basically a Democrat who has infiltrated the Republican Party to block Conservative Republicans. He can go straight to h-e-double toothpick.

Obama should have been impeached a long time ago for violating his oath of office and his corruption and his failure to force the Executive Branch agencies to openly and honestly communicate their actions to Congress.

This is correct.

Impeaching Holder, on the other hand, is what is needed. Without him keeping the weight of the law off the Obama administration's back, things would be a lot different.
