Combine this with the reported $2 BILLION in funds that they have at their disposal and it is safe to say that shite is meeting fan right about now.

Iraq has informed the United Nations that the Islamic State extremist group has taken control of a vast former chemical weapons facility northwest of Baghdad where 2,500 chemical rockets filled with the deadly nerve agent sarin or their remnants were stored along with other chemical warfare agents...
He singled out the capture of bunkers 13 and 41 in the sprawling complex, which according to a 2004 U.N. report also contained the toxic agent sodium cyanide, which is a precursor for the chemical warfare agent tabun, and artillery shells contaminated with mustard gas.

Apparently there were and now the JV version of the Lakers has them.

There was a thread not to long ago about Iraqs chem weapons. They were said to be more or less inert. They were made so long ago that the chemicals were past their expiration date so to speak.
And anyway, Bush lied. Iraq don't have no chem weapons. Duh.

Haven't they heard that Bush lied? They must be mistaken and they actually just found the fireworks leftover from the 4th of July celebrations.

But here is what the rest of the story says:
"Alhakim singled out the capture of bunkers 13 and 41 in the sprawling complex 35 miles (56 kilometers) northwest of Baghdad in the notorious "Sunni Triangle."
The last major report by U.N. inspectors on the status of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program was released about a year after the experts left in March 2003. It states that Bunker 13 contained 2,500 sarin-filled 122-mm chemical rockets produced and filled before 1991, and about 180 tons of sodium cyanide, "a very toxic chemical and a precursor for the warfare agent tabun."
The U.N. said the bunker was bombed during the first Gulf War in February 1991, which routed Iraq from Kuwait, and the rockets were "partially destroyed or damaged."
It said the sarin munitions were "of poor quality" and "would largely be degraded after years of storage under the conditions existing there." It said the tabun-filled containers were all treated with decontamination solution and likely no longer contain any agent, but "the residue of this decontamination would contain cyanides, which would still be a hazard."

I'm gonna need a more credible source than "Iraq [said]"
I have zero fricks to give about those ISIS thugs and would like to see them all die in an AIDs Fire. But, "Iraq said" is less than compelling to me.

The fact that these were found makes me so happy. It really does.

Agreed, plus the article itself says the rockets were degraded.

Degraded for 11 years. At least.
Think about it.
Still disagree with the war in Iraq. Always have, always will.
But this is (somewhat) of a vindication of the Bush administration.

It does seem to be his default position on many issues.

The UN report that reported the existence of these chemicals and their condition (degraded) was released in 2003. That was 11 years ago. So...

Obama should have drawn a red line around the weapons complex to prevent this from happening.
