I know this stuff gets posted here a lot but I need some help...

Would you buy a refurbished HDTV? Groupon is doing a deal for a 60" Vizio that is a pretty good deal ($700 marked down from $1100 new). I am in the market for a 55-60" tv and am strongly considering buying this one.

Any horror stories regarding refurbished tv's? Any other good places to look online or tv suggestions would be appreciated. I'm moving into a much larger place so I need a new tv. All I care about is 1080p and built in apps. Don't care about 3d, 4k bullshite etc

TIA

Yeah just 90... Tvs are so cheap now I was thinking just take the chance with this one and if it works great if not, buy another

I may go this route for my patio TV when the construction is done. I'm not buying a top end TV anyway to sit outside in the elements. want a 55 or 60 out there and may go the refurb route.

if nothing goes wrong for 90 days, i would think it should last about as long as a new one would

any problems it would have would surface in that time period IMO

Well you know that's going to factor in on this decision, don't you?

From what I've heard in the past, refurb electronics have a higher percentage of lasting a long time because they've gone through a higher degree of testing than units straight off the factory floor. Basically, they scour those units for defections and make sure they're perfect before sending them back out to the public.

I may have been mislead, but I've always had great luck with refurb electronics.
