6'6 310 will choose between Texas, Michigan, USCe, Ole Miss and Oklahoma tomorrow. Why no LSU offer? Is this the year that we are on some really really good OT and that is why. Read that we wanted to evaluate him a little more at one of our upcoming camps. His list is pretty impressive. Anyone seen him play?

If true then why not hold off and come to camp and prove yourself to the coaching staff and get that offer. I do understand that he is not signing and things could change even in giving a verbal.

Can't wait for an LSU offer forever. He's got some pretty big offers, and they won't wait for him forever.

Can't blame the kid for committing with those schools on his list if LSU is slow playing him or wants to evaluate him more. That's the nature of recruiting.

I had been wondering about him and had not heard much about Thomas for the last month until this thread.

Does he project as a tackle in college--we know LSU has a definite need at that position.

If he does not pick LSU, then I hope he chooses to sign with a school outside the SEC.

I hate losing in staters with talent who love LSU. I'll just have to trust Grimes on this one.

Not true Cadello. I spoke with him last month and if he previously had any love for LSU, he does not anymore.

I just saw his film from 2013 and the kid looks pretty good. Looks Better than Josh Wiliford did coming out of high school. Could be redshirted and end being a stud after. But I hope he gets an LSU offer at camp and changes his mind

He's a college guard. Feet are slow, agility is lacking and he'd get ate up by SEC ends and backers. Guess you're not interested in the pretty girl when she's not interested in you. Hope he ends up at Texas. Strong needs players.

He needs work clearly but he's still not bad could be a project player like Josh Wiliford. He turned out pretty good

Let's clear this up. Williford is a great person excellent tiger and one of my favorites. However he's like welter a necessary evil. A chink in the amour, a dent in the corvette, a liability that got exposed game after game. Go watch the film. Sorry dude don't want another 5-6 year 330+ scholly holder. I trust Grimes and honestly it looks like his evaluations fall in line with most of us. Kid needs more evaluation, lose some of his bad weight, one on one coaching before even considering an offer. Tillery anyone?

Clearly Tillery lol but you cannot put Josh Wiliford and DJ Welter in the same boat at all

Any idea about what time Thomas will announce his commitment?

Could he be like Jacob Hester--in state player who switched his commitment from Texas to LSU?

It's a long way until Feb. 2015--let's wait and see what OL's Miles, Cameron and Grimes can land. Perhaps we haven't heard the last of Garrett Thomas.

If this is true then sounds like he was turned off by having to earn a spot at a camp or by some othe aspect of his recruitment. Can't win them all.
