Saw this somewhere and it seemed to make sense. Big 4 thrash bands as kids:
Anthrax - Hyper kid who is running around everywhere
Megadeth - Artistic kid with lots of musical talent
Slayer - Dark, brooding kid that could get in trouble
Metallica - Popular kid going to all the parties
Thoughts?

Edit Megadeth

Megadeth - Artistic kid with lots of musical talent that always complains how misunderstood & underappreciated he is.

Iron Maiden w/ Bruce Dickenson - stoners who jam in the school yard and everyone realizes they're the better than the rest.

With Mustaine's ego I'm surprised he agreed to be 3rd on the bill behind Metallica and Slayer.

Metallica's first three albums were mind blowing. Every song was important.
Now they are just a buisness. Can't hate on them, just wish Cliff could have gotten to enjoy some of the spoils from his work. Not to mention, would have loved to have seen him progress as a musician.

Agreed. I don't dislike their newer stuff either though. Obviously Hetfield leaves some stuff to be desired vocally now (wish I was old enough to have seen him in concert in his prime), but I respect their ability to make albums they want to make. They aren't trying to please anyone anymore. I think whenever they release their next one, probably 2016, it will be pretty good, and more vintage in style (I hope).
Did any of y'all see "Through the Never"? That concert would have been absolutely amazing to have been at.

Yes, and if you like Metallica at all, you've got to see it. They can still play at a very high level and the energy was off the charts throughout the entire movie. The concept was very cool and original as well. It lets you realize just how good their entire catalog is.

Agreed. I saw it in IMAX and definitely had a Metalligasm.
