I'm glad this is finally coming out. I know it was stuck in developmental hell for a while. I think that the Hendrix Estate refused to allow any official recordings for the film so it is all covers.

I agree, but Buddy Guy comes pretty damn close. He always seems to throw in a Hendrix song somewhere in his concerts and it brings back good memories of
Johnny Allen ("Jimi") Hendrix.
