FIFA 14 Online League Question

OK, since I got absolutely zero response on the Gaming Board, let me consult my friends here.
So with no new NCAA game coming this summer, my normal group of dynasty participants are looking into alternate options. We'll still continue to play an NCAA dynasty, but we like to have new things.
Which brings me to FIFA. Is it possible to do an online dynasty-type system on the game? What's it called? Leagues? I'm pretty sure we can but haven't found anything that gives me a totally straight answer.
If you can do an online leauge with friends, does it have to be totally custom or can you pick one specific league for everyone to be in and have the CPU control the other teams?

I think you can but haven't really got into it other than ultimate team

You can do a league but you will just play each other. It won't be anything like an online dynasty. At least not yet. I don't mess with UT so you may be able to do something there.
