8 HP Yamaha losing RPMs and Dying

My little tiller arm 4 stroke Yamaha is struggling. At first it wouldn't rev much above idle. Now it will turn up, but it keeps dying every 3-4 minutes.

Sounds like a fuel issue. Check your fuel line and clean your carb.

Yeah if I had to guess I'd say your fuel line is losing prime for whatever reason. Try keeping pressure on the primer bulb while running, if it runs fine then you need a new hose/tank. Could be junk in the carb too.

Same thing happened to me. The gas can had a small crack on the top where the fuel line connects and the fuel was not getting to the engine.
