What an awesome first day of Free Agency!!!1!

All of the drama and big names changing teams!
Seriously, Jodie Meeks got paid. Hoorah. I remember previous years being more exciting than this. Even Hedo Turkuglue getting paid by Toronto as soon as FA started a few years ago was better than this.
I know it was probably expected as the big names are patient weighing their options and the medium level talent waiting for the big names to sign, etc. But here's to a more eventful day tomorrow and hopefully a great one for the Pels.
Today was so boring I ended up buying 2k14 and boy do those Peli Unis look nice on there

Nothing will happen until Melo, LBJ, Bosh and Gasol sign IMO. After that, teams will be scrambling to pick up pieces.

All this talk of a deal already being in place to make acquiring Asik work (three way deal or another trade) was total BS.
I guess we are just trying to figure it out now. Looks like we will be giving Rivers away for free.

Who said it was already in place? The original announcement seems ages ago, but I don't remember talk about that, in fact all we've heard since this went down is the team was actively seeking deals.

They surely have a fall back, which may well be giving Rivers away, but it's not like there was a rumor of a done deal, the rumor mill has suggested there wasn't a done deal for quite a while.
And giving Rivers away would suck, but a backup guard and whatever the #18 pick can get you are much easier to acquire than Asik, especially if we aren't able to unload Gordon.
