I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old. My youngest was invited to a fellow 1 year old party by a child who I'm not sure if the parents even know I have 4 year old also. The name on the invite just said my 1 year olds name. Is it understood that my 4 year old is not invited? I have never brought both unless it specifically said both girls but at the same time I don't want to go to the trouble of getting a babysitter all to have the parents say " where's ....?"( My 4 year old) That's what usually happens.

When I invited kids to my kids party I made sure to specify "siblings welcome too".

What do y'all do?

Non parents need not apply

Couldn't you just call and ask?

I'd leave the 4 year old home since it wasn't specified.

This is more my wife's area of expertise but I believe it's pretty standard that siblings of kids are invited as well unless there is a huge difference in age.

I guess I could but then I don't want to come across as a jackass. Of course someone would say "sure bring her" if I ask.

Clearly I don't know the people very well as I'm not even sure they know I have another daughter.

Jesus. It's a kids fricking birthday party. Not a reservation at some pretentious overpriced restaurant.

Bring your kid if you want to.

I don't know what's proper but my first thought is leave the 4 year old behind.

shite I would rather show up with her than call and ask for her to come. I'll likely just do what I always do and just get a babysitter for her. I just wanted to see the opinions of other parents.

Her posting non parents need not apply just makes us without kids want to post just to piss her off.

And I gave a valid suggestion anyways

Depends on where it is. Park? Ok. Some place host has to pay by the kid? Not ok or you pay for the other one.

It doesn't piss me off, sweetheart. Don't flatter yourself.

I don't think your suggestion was valid. I think it was stupid and typical.

She probably wants special parking spots for parents too.

It's tough for us non parents.

People send out invites to people they hardly know for a 1-year-old's birthday?

I know. You people are very predictable. At least he's not still kissing his kid on the lips right?
