Funny, I don't remember anyone on the left raising such concerns about the Lawrence decision (where the Court ignored recent precedent on sodomy laws finding anti-sodomy laws unconstitutional), even though Scalia noted in his dissent that this would usher in arguments for gay marriage. In fact, I recall getting assurances from the left that nothing like that would happen.

Low and behold, the DOMA decision relied on Lawrence in its reasoning.

Good for goose...good for gander.
