Shouldn't we start to have some clarity regarding cap space by tonight?

Tonight at midnight being the first time teams can legally contact Free Agents, wouldn't you think Agents would want to know we can even afford to sign their client before they give us the time of day?
You have to think any moves to make Asik work and allow us to keep our MLE/BAE would begin to become apparent very quickly.

It depends on what we're waiting on. I think Demps has several fall back options and he's hoping for something better to shake loose. I don't think he's waiting for something unexpected, but if he's wanting to be part of a Rondo deal for instance, it might take a few days before our part in something like that comes out.
There's no reason he can't pursue FAs with the MLE if his moves let him keep it. All he'd have to do is show a few of his cards to the agent and everything would be fine.

Have they officially released the cap figures for this year? I thought that's what Demps was waiting for to start making deals.
