Anyone ever been to Vegas with teenaged children?

Seems like A LOT to do that doesn't involve gambling or strip clubs, but there seems to be a stigma of it not being suitable for children.

Any thoughts?

ETA: Seriously...there are a lot of things to do other than gamble. I'm just worried about placing impressionable teens around a "gambling" environment.

We went a few years ago with a teenager and took a bunch of day trips, Hoover Dam, Zion, Valley of Fire and saw a couple of shows.

Lots to do if you don't mind driving a bit. You can take them to In N Out burger.

Las Vegas is not what it was 25 years ago. It is more than ever a family friendly atmosphere. Few years back I went on a family vacation with whole family and had few cousins that were early teens. They had plenty to do i.e. hang by pool, see shows, go to kid arcades, and go to shops. This was just on the LV Strip. You need to plan it but LV with children can be a great time.

I took my kids Rusty and what's her face in the 90s. Stayed at the Mirage. Get your son a fake ID and let him gamble. It really paid off for us. Enjoyed the Hoover Dam tour with my wife's family one day and saw Wayne Newton one night. Some advice: leave your ATM card and checkbook at home. Almost lost everything.

If you come here in the next few days, be sure to have LOTS of water and sunscreen. Temps will be around 110. There's next to no humidity but you can burn / dehydrate in a hell of a hurry if you're outside for any length of time.

No, it is not. I was just there and damn glad to leave. Scummy non-english speaking hawkers all over the place handing out hooker business cards. Hookers all over the hotels. One followed me up an elevator and I literally had to shove her away and tell her to leave me the frick alone. I honestly can't think of a single redeeming quality to that town that would make me want to take my kids there. For adults, if you can stand the scum, it has some world class restaurants and great casinos, but other than that, and the night scene, there isn't anything for kids other than Hoover Dam.
