I´ve been very lightly monitoring the Political Talk board.
What can OTers say about this board? Good and bad?
Lightly flying over, it looks to be akin to the Outdoor Board throwing opinions around.

It depends on the current events happening and quantity of it.
During slow news time especially on Friday news dumps, it can get stale and the same ole regurgitated bs that can get run into the ground with incessant gotcha attempts. It's at it's best when current events are hopping and information is coming in really fast.
It's come a long way from the neocon republican soundboard it used to be and is more pragmatic and libertarian minded. The board is top five in Intelligience on this site.
With all that said, when it gets really boring, you find yourself for sheer entertainmemt value missing the old days where people just didn't give a frick and tried to be the most batshit crazy political board there is like when Toothpick, GMB, and Dan Kern roamed that board. Craziness. Tuba was a nice filler though.

Well, It's the most varied circle jerk I've ever seen. The variance in the right wing on that board goes from full blown anarchist survivalists to posters who wants a catholic theocracy/monarchy.
For a political board, it has more variety than most of the other boards I've seen. We have a small, solid contingent of liberals, a moderate size number of libertarians, a stronghold of conservatives, sprinkled in with some anarchy, and topped off with a dash of crazy.
Compare that to a site like DU or freeper where facts are nowhere to be found and logic goes to die. However, they do have a healthy amount of mutual egotistical masturbation and self-proclaimed righteousness.

Most folks claim to be somewhere near the center.
Most mainstream Dems and Reps are fairly close to center. They wouldn't consider the poli board a "right wing circle jerk."
Mainstream Republicans are under attack on that board as often, or more, than Dems.
