I think that is greatly over simplification on his part and plays to ignorance. I don't think war is the answer to all problems but the powerful sitting on the sideline while two peoples fight to the death wouldn't exactly fit jesus's love for one another either.

The Jews of his day were definately looking for a warrior king to come back in the mold of King David. It's one of the reasons they didn't accept him as messiah.

Republicans aren't alone in their taste for war.
I doubt if Jesus would have much use for either party. I'm not Jesus and I can't stand either one.

Good point. But he's not saying he read the Bible. He just supposes what Jesus would say. Therefore, he assumes Jesus was the Son of God. That means he believes in the historical Bible. I find that interesting. I always thought Rand was Agnostic.
