Let's try getting through the "next three years" with no more than 6 losses.

People bitch we have the most talent. Then bitch more when we don't have a top 5 recruiting class. Fsu has had talent and plays in a weak conference. For decades they out recruited us. Teams have talent. Only one school can win.

I think he was referring to the OP, not everyone living within Austin.

If we're going by talent, Alabama has had Rivals' #1 rated recruiting class EVERY SINGLE YEAR since 2008, except 2010, when it was ranked 5th. From a "too much talent" standpoint, Bama should win every title. Starting next season, every single player on their roster will have been a member of a #1 recruiting class.

I think your logic is flawed. It seems like you're implying that Miles was handed this talent. He went out and got it. Miles gets the credit, or blame, for the overall performance of our program. Ten years into his tenure I'll say he's done well - not great, but very good. I also see his performance improving. Recruiting is getting stronger, and his coaching staff is getting better.

The story of Miles' last few years has been one of greatness, but with one missing piece - the offensive coordinator before 2013, the QB in 2011, the defensive tackles in 2013. But that's the difference between great coaches and good coaches. Good coaches can't quite get it all together, and that's been Les' story. However, Les seems to be getting it all together now. Time will tell.

If we couldn't do it in 2011 then I don't see us doing it again under Miles. He refused to adapt or prepare then. Now it gets even harder.

Smartest comment in this thread. Good job Clark.....see you at WallyWorld.

There's really good chance that will not happen.

Not bc of LM but bc it's just hard to do.
Plus we play toughest conf.
Toughest division.

But half our fan base is happy with 10-2 and a mediocre crap bowl game.
Oh yeah.... plus we put guys in the NFL , YA!
So whatever.

My expectations are to at least be in the final 4 once in the next 3 years. I would consider no appearances a major failure.

Also, just met a former Arkansas O lineman in Europe, Steve Parker. Said the talent we have in Louisiana is so deep and unreal that LSU should win 10 games a year just by letting guys play. Was not a big Miles guy but thinks we will be deadly with Cam going forward... Not that his opinion matters, but interesting to hear from someone with that knowledge

I agree. We are the only school in the country with talented players. Should go undefeated over the next 3 years!

The truth is that Miles can make huge blunders at times, but no program in the SEC has been as consistently competitive in the SEC the last 10 years than LSU with Miles.

Funny that no one brings up Saban's blunders from when he was at LSU.

That's bc the blunders include but are not limited to losing to ole miss's 2nd/3rd team last year.

Preemptive bitching is my favorite!

How did you not win a title 3 years from now, Les!

Excellent post!
