This Ben Simmons/Musselman news is getting me pumped about our basketball program....has me wondering, can we pull off bringing in the #2 player, Malik Newman, as well? Has anyone heard where he is leaning these days? I know we have a shot, although, probably a long one.

No. He's going to Kentucky. We might have a shot at Antonio Blakeny though, who's almost identical to Newman.

He basically talked about LSU in last few interviews. Plays EYBL with Ben Simmons (and Alex Owens who wants to come to LSU it seems). Fun note, Elhadji Fall 7'5 plays for them too (Tacko Fall).
No for Malik Newman though. He and Diamond Stone going somewhere together.

He's friends with Ben Simmons and teammates with Alex Owens, who's probably going to sign with us. He's supposed to visit too.

Interesting, I didn't realize he was that serious about LSU. Blakeny's recruitment probably changed quite a bit when Florida took KeVaughn Allen at SG in April.
