i gotta say it was 1991 palooza in Dallas.
not only was the jim rose circus freakshow there for pre-game festivities, but siouxsie, NIN, Body Count, Fishbone, Butthole Surfers, Rollins Band, Violent Femmes made for great entertainment (and numerous fires started in the various moshpits)
anyway..all that aside, when Jane's Addiction finally came out on stage with that big arse 2 story scarecrow and belting out pretty much every song that made them great it ended pretty much a perfect day.
all concerts i've been to since are a pale comparison to that.
all that and i think the ticket was like $25.
eta i think i spent probably $75 on water that day. i still have the tshirt but its getting awfully faded. i wish i had bought a couple extra.

Marvelous 3 and Butch Walker put on some extremely entertaining shows in Atlanta about 10-15 years ago.

Tough call.
Might have to go with Tea Leaf Green/Galactic NYE 2011 at Tips.

Phish - 4th of July 2010 in Atlanta was the most fun I've ever had at a show. Not the best show I have seen (that title belongs to Radiohead at Bonnaroo 2006) but it was a fricking blast.

SCI at Red Rocks '10. The whole atmosphere of that place is just amazing, we stayed at the same hotel as Cheese so we chilled poolside with them before heading to the lot, and the show was a heater.
Hampton '09 is a close second

We did Raleigh>CLT>Alph that year with everything coming to a head on the 4th. Was the perfect 3.0 run.
CLT wasn't too shabby either.
The Lizards, Carini > frick Your Face > Also Sprach Zarathustra > You Enjoy Myself

Austin was pretty wild too. Taking that cab to the pregame and not knowing where we were actually going great. Who would've thought it was in a castle in the hills
That mansion was cool and all but it had nothing on grav bongs at the Red Roof Inn

Heart was a great concert.
Reel Big Fish at the House of Blues about 10 years ago was fun as hell too.

First Little Feat concert after Lowell George's death was awesome.
Little Feat Live at SS Presidente on 1988-04-29 (April 29, 1988)
- *w/Bonnie Raitt
- +w/Jimmy Buffett & Ed Bradley (of 60 Minutes)
- The Radiators Opened
- first performance of the reunited Feat with Fred Tackett and Craig Fuller
"The recording is somewhat less than pristine. But it captures the atmosphere extremely well, with the drunkenly enthused featfans singing along at full throttle. This may be the only audience recording where I don't much mind the crowd chatter. It gives you a feeling of what it must've been like to be one of the lucky few that night, afloat on the Mississippi River and an ocean of booze and the rebirth of" Little Feat.

i have a funny related story:
the next year (1992) lollapalooza got a houston show..at a farm west of houston by like 45 miles or so.
the traffic on the interstate was insane. backed up (right lane only) to the exit by 3-4 miles and it wasnt moving.
in a fit of genius i got in the left lane & drove down 2 exits and turned around.
voila, NOBODY was coming from the west and i got right in while my friends were hours late
shows you the level of genius attending the show

I went to the last ever Beastie Boys show. We had some great acid. Beastie Boys are one of my favorites but for one of my friends they are #1 so it was cool to see how stoked he was.

311 Day '08 is up there as well. Say what you will about 311 and their music but when they are playing a 6 hour concert inside of a sold out Smoothie King Center, you're guaranteed to have a good time
