I remember when woot was just ten low priced things I didn't want. Now it's fifty low priced things I don't want.

He should look towards steep and cheap or whiskey militia and do hardly discounts on niche markets.

I have no idea why that dude needed a Kickstarter to raise $10K for this shite.

Even more amazed that people are actually giving a millionaire $10K to start another business.

Then you don't remember the secret page that ended up being woot as we know it. It's turned into the deals page on woot, but originally it was given out as a link to loyal customers, which they all leaked out.

I guess kickstarter doesn't care, but it is sad just how much of a publicity stunt this is versus an actual fundraising campaign.

(btw, amazon paid him $110m for woot)

The funny part to me is how the amazon lawyers must have written such a crappy non-compete to let the guy just relabel his same product over again.

This was after I stopped paying attention. I'm one of the people that used to stay up to midnight now matter what, just to check out the woot for the night.

Non competes have time limits on them and without one they are null. 2 years is usually the max IIRC. Nothing Amazon lawyers can do about that.
