LINK

It's a $370 million project that will close in the South Endzone, build a new press box/upperdeck, and build a brand new weight room and other player facilities.

amazing to me that it's 2014 and Oklahoma still doesn't have an enclosed bowl.

Same here, but I guess it's more of an indication of the lack of population around there compared with other large schools.

I'm going to miss the awkwardly shaped end zone seating. It's one of those things that you see and know you're watching Oklahoma

They are adding chairbacks to most of the stadium as well. So I believe the actual difference in capacity will only be +2000 or so

It's about time for it to be changed, IMO.

Norman is like 20 miles from OKC and is in a 1 mil plus metro area. They have access to more people in its immediate area than a lot of other major programs. I think they just built it out in an odd fashion, regardless the plans for the new stadium look nice

looks incredible. i had no idea it was on the agenda today at the BOR meeting, so i was incredibly pumped when my brother called and told me about it.

should be a nice recruiting tool.

Umm these schools are not very good at football on a regular basis OU is at least top 25 every year. A&M will have a bowl before the start of the season.
