A few known iOS hackers are saying it works and it's safe. I've seen people saying to untick the option for the piracy store built in.

I have a question, maybe somebody can help me.
I want to put 7.1.1 on my 4s, but it's saying only 1.5GB are available, and I've gotten rid of everything. All apps, texts, all pictures, all videos.
Where is this 4.5GB of 'used' space? I've got nothing left to delete.

I am pretty sure your problem is the 'Other' category taking up too much space. This link talks about how to fix the problem: LINK

Thanks. I've done everything they said. The phone has nothing left. Lmao
It's still sayin there's a ton of used space. Should I just take it to the apple store and let them try to fix it? It's just a phone now, with contacts, and web browser. I don't have any of my old apps, and even if I did, it wouldn't free up 4.6GB of space.

No. My wife's did the update no problem.

Can you rejailbreak the phone like the first time? If so cydia should reinstall.

I took a chance... Seems to work fine (Cydia installed anyway). Installed and ran the PPSync Removal app. I'll post if I run into any problems.

Also, does springtomize and other popular apps work with this JB? I have read that a lot of apps were crashing and are not ready for 7.1.1

Yeah I used the Chinese app, there is a YouTube video on it. Basically uncheck the check box, hit the button with the question marks, that will install an app on your idevice, select the icon and let it do its thing.
I don't know about springtomize, but xbmc works ;)

Worked like a champ 
Now I can't remember what apps I had before. Springtomize and pandora down loader works.

Ok what's the trick to get this to work? I've been researching all day and I can't seen to get past the " dependencies not meet" message when installing navi-x.
Eta: sorry for the nood question, this is slightly above my hacker level.
