Clinton responded to criticism of her wealth in an interview with the Guardian newspaper published Saturday night by suggesting Americans won't be concerned about the more than $100 million her family has reportedly earned in recent years because they're not "truly well off."

"They don't see me as part of the problem," Clinton said of Americans who are upset about income inequality, adding, "Because we pay ordinary income tax, unlike a lot of people who are truly well off, not to name names; and we've done it through dint of hard work."

Who knew she was a comedian!

I think this is just a bit funnier than the bible being her favorite book.

Bill had the charisma and the ability to read which way the wind was blowing to say and do just the right thing.

Hillary's got a long history of putting her foot in her mouth, implying that her political instincts for public speaking are almost nil.

Im convinced that the left is letting her run around only so that she can act like a target for conservatives.

No way she will still be considered electable in two years at this rate. At least not by anyone with a 1/4 of a brain.

Which begs the question -- who's waiting in the wings to take her spot?

She's a complete dumpster fire.

I wish I were "not truly well off".

If she really wanted to be prez after losing out to OB she shouldn't have taken the Sec of State position. She shoulda just waited outside the microscope of DC doing charity work and speaking engagements.

As all things political go (in cycles) the Dems appear to be hitting the skids with candidates and are recycling with Hil and don't really have anyone remarkable in the wings IMV.

Yeah. 2 years ago, I thought for sure Booker and Cuomo would knock her off as the frontrunner and one would become the eventual nominee. Haven't heard much from either minus Cuomo's gun grabbing hijinx which will play like a John Kerry hunting photo op in the general.

I think at this point, Fauxcahontas gets nasty early in the primary and this thing becomes a full on cat fight between only those two.

A phony...his own constituents in Newark know this.

Cuomo is too NE like Kerry...and he's the son of a failed candidate.

Warren, if you're on the left is intriguing...she's somewhat of a populist.

Who knows.

She's becoming a bad sound bite machine.

I understand that she was taking a dig at the types of folks the Republicans usually nominate as candidates, and that she's not in their financial class, and that she might even feel a bit poor compared to the people with whom she rubs elbows... and even that her sentence could be construed that she wasn't ACTUALLY excluding herself from the "well off"... but, damn, the folks at democraticunderground.com would easily nominate Elizabeth Warren right now, instead.

Speaking of Rahm...

"Poll: Rahm re-election on ropes; voters say no better than Daley"

"...only 29 percent would support him if the mayoral election were held today."
