I got a pair of Costas today from Academy and the girl checking me out made sure to tell me that they had a strict return policy on their shades (all stickers must still be in place, return has to be w/in a certain amount of days, no scratches (obvious one there) and one or two other criteria). It's not a problem as far as this new purchase is concerned (I definitely understand the reasoning), but I don't remember ever getting that warning before on the premium shades I've bought there before. Is this new? Is it just because it's Baton Rouge?

I work there and have never heard that before...but don't take my word for it, I'm not a cashier.

Reading comprehension is obviously not a strong point.

I probably contributed to that sunglasses return policy being enacted. I found out the easy way that you can get broken Costas for very cheap from people, and that academy had a liberal return policy on broken ones. Took them a few months to realize it, but after a while, they stopped taking Costas back at all. A couple of months after that, they started taking them back, but with strict guidelines for swapping them out

They also did the same with a few other items, but we stuck to sunglasses

Why would you voluntarily tell people you're a POS?
