Slxtreme5- charger, waterproof, solar charging panel

The good: works exactly as advertised. It will charge the phone and can use the solar panel to trickle charge as well. It's truly waterproof. It's very rugged.

The bad: I owned it for less than a month and the micro USB charging port broke internally. The connector just broke off the board it soldered to inside the case and turned sideways then completely broke off and rattled around inside the unit.

I bought directly from snowlizard so I emailed them and they said to ship it back on my dime and they would look at it and make a decision on warranty. With a little pushing, I got them to send me a prepaid postage label.

Two weeks later (this past Friday) I got my replacement. I brought it home to charge for the night. When I tried to plug it in, the connector broke once again.

If it wasn't for this one major issue, I'd recommend this case to anyone who fishes, hikes, camps, etc. Did I get two lemons? Maybe. Third time may be the charm but I'm not going to try. I've emailed them asking for a refund and will try to find another case that makes something similar. I really wanted to like this case because of it has all the features I want when I'm fishing or hiking.
