Travel Trailers - 1/2 Ton Pick Up

What kind of travel trailers are yal pulling? I have a Ram 1500, 5.7L, crew cab, 3.55 rear end. I have scaled the truck so I have some exact weights for axles and payload, but I was just wondering what yal were pulling and how your 1/2 ton pulls it. I bought the truck without the intention of trailer, but the wife is interested after a girls camping trip.

I'm pulling 26' TT weighing 4600lbs dry with 5.3L '09 chevy suburban. After loaded its probably around 6000 lbs.
No prob pulling just make sure your trailer tires are in good shape

I pull a 29' Grey Wolf with the same truck you have. It's a hefty 7,000 lbs or so and the truck does fine. Not a huge fan of long trips because of the 7mpg but we tend to stay at state parks < 1 hr away.

With trailer brakes and a low tongue weight I'd pull anything with that truck.

I had an F150 with the 4.6l that ran 35" tires on after Katrina hit. I haul campers on the weekend all over the southern states. Hauled a 36' bumper pull back from Illinois without a problem. Only time I ever had a problem was hauling a loaded 39' across the sunshine bridge, slowed down to about 35MPH, but made it....

I pull a 27' Wildcat 5th wheel with a 2011 F150. It does have heavy tow package. The ticket is to find trailer that fits vehicle capacities.I searched long and hard to find right 1 one that I liked. Hitch(tongue) weight 950, dry weight 6950, gvwr 1170. I pull it between 7500 and 8000#. V6 Eco boost. No problems...

I pull a 35ft lacrosse luxury lite with a Silverado 1500. 5.3 with 342 gears. I don't pull it often but I'll be getting a Duramax soon. It pulls ok now, the weight distribution hitch is a life saver.

This is the big ticket and a must to have along with remote brakes to be safe.
