Well, that was quick. Can't think of a show that announced itself within the week of premiering. Has to be die to the leaks.

Honestly, Korra would really benefit from being a Netflix program. It's pretty much the perfect type of show for it, and they haven't had an animated show on there yet. Really wish Netflix would buy the Avatar rights, then I think the franchise could really take off.

After watching the first 5 avatar seasons. I'll share my thoughts here.

1) preferred Aangs seasons but think Korras might appeal to an older crowd.
2) some of the mythology is so well thought out it seems like a real religion
3) maybe the best audio for a show I've ever experienced. Wear headphones or listen on surround sound, it's i credible.
4) I thought there were some plot holes in this last season

Spoilers

A) I don't care what they do in season 3, there can be no greater threat
B) anytime something bad was about to happen, some shite you've never heard of showed up and fixed it.
C) rava can be destroyed and come back but vatu can't? The avatar continues on after death but not the dark avatar. Inconsistencies.

Great series though. Agree about needing to watch all at once. Will wait for the season to be over before starting it.

Vaatu will eventually return, but he was killed in the Avatar State. Unalaq's merger won't return, but within the next 10,000 years, Vaatu will emerge out of an Avatar. It's heavily implied that both Vaatu and Raava have killed each other countless times through the eons, just to rise from the other.

It will be thousands of years before Vaatu rises again though, to where Korra doesn't really need to worry about it.

. Quick thread hijack. Yo OML. When you went backpacking in Asia, did you have a travel visa for Vietnam?
