video interview broken into 3 5 minute clips
Bullet Points:

- Doesn't want to put a ceiling on AD's expectations for a jump this year because he's already surprised them with his development.
- Was happy that he's up to 237 lbs, it gives them a barometer of where he can get to, he was down to 212 at the end of the season last year. He's already where we thought he might max out at the end of the summer.
- All of the injured players are on target and will be healthy for training camp.
- Doesn't know if Tyreke will start or not.
- Doesn't know what team they'll have yet, have to make a few additions and if they have a team that will benefit with Tyreke off the bench they'll do that.
- Monty thinks him trusting Tyreke was more important to his improved play as a starter than Tyreke starting. They weren't on the same page to start the year.

"We bumped heads a lot and usually bumping heads with me means I win, you lose. *chuckles* and that's not always good for your team. I think I had to...well I know I had to change the way I was coaching him, and he was flexible as well. If you saw our relationship now and compared it to how it was at the beginning of the season you would have said 'Oh my gosh, this is not going to work.'"

It sounds like we were headed for Marcus Thornton 2.0 with a guy we had just paid $44 million to , I wonder what made things work out this time to the point that Monty sounds like he may have actually changed?
- Withey can become a rotation guy. His dedication as a rookie impressed Monty, was usually the first guy in the gym every day.
- Wasn't impressed with Pierre dominating the DLeauge although he has the potential to be a game changer.
- Was pretty positive about Ajinca and thought his biggest problem was conditioning which he expects to be improved.

I missed the quotation marks and thought Monty was the one saying we may have been in position for Marcus 2.0, which would've been an amazing way to frick with fans.

Those mostly seem like very logical points and I like that he's at least aware that he can be difficult and needs to bend a little depending on player personality.

I think Pierre rubbed Monty and Dell the wrong way with some of his comments during the season. Really wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't play a minute for us.

Good interview with monty as he admits hes still growing as a coach and has faults. I have always been a fan of his attitude and character buti wanted him gone last year. Ill give him that one more 2/3 week shot in November and ill be back on the Karl bandwagon if we aren't .500.

Right? How dare he admit a fault?

Exactly. It's not like the head coach can simply give in to every players demands every time. He had to at least try things his way first if he wants to have any credibility among his players.

All players lose weight as the season goes on. But 212 is pretty light for someone his height.
