Spin off: Looking for a Harley where is the best deal??

Looking to get a used Harley, probably an Electra Glide Ultra Classic or Heritage Softail Classic. I am in no rush, so I am waiting on a good deal. What is the boards experience with this, Ebay, Craigslist, HD Dealer, other motorcycle shop? TIA

2. What sort of riding do you plan on doing? Long trips or just weekend bar hops?
3. You will probably find the lowest price on Craigslist from an individual. A dealer will probably have the highest price but on the other hand you stand a lot less chance of getting a bike that has mechanical issues from a dealer than you do from an individual.

I would try craigslist and local dealers before messing with ebay for a bike. Due to fees ebay charges expect prices to be 4-8% percent higher there depending on if you use paypal or not. Most dealers have trade-ins on hand and have generaly performed at least basic maitanance and safety checks on them as required by HD. I have no idea what your skill level is but there is a huge difference in the two bikes you listed, you will find the ultra very top heavy and less manuverable compared to the softail.
