Is security' pretty strict on letting you go to the floor if you have a Gen Adm - Balcony ticket or vice versa; went for Neutral Milk a few months back, everything was just under an umbrella Gen Admin ticket but now ticketmaster shows 2 different options

Not a problem at all, but I hear sound and sight lines are much better from balcony

I'm about to buy tickets for a show there, so I wanted to get other thoughts on this.

It depends on you are going to see imo. If it is something heavier or more uptempo, the balcony is the way to go. But don't confuse that with the gallery. If it is something calmer, I would go ahead and get the floor.

As for the sight lines, the best is probably in the back on the floor since it is elevated.

Thanks

I'm buying tickets for Gasoline Anthem and Brand New. The Gasoline Anthem only gives you one option for tickets, but the Brand New show offers both.

The balcony has a way better access to the bar as well. Each level has it's own bar too which is nice since it is such a small venue

If you have Balcony or Gallery tickets, you can still go on the floor. Not vice versa.

I had general admission to moe. during Jazzfest and they let me walk up and down between the two with no problem. I don't know if that's the case for this sold out show

Right. For something that wont be a sellout before day of show you can move freely.

Just was looking at the upcoming shows on the Civic's Facebook page and noticed they commented about a sound upgrade.

Someone was asking if they will ever fix it and they commented "We've addressed the acoustics in the venue for the Fall opening and expect that all guests will be very happy with the changes we've made."

Curious to see if it worked!
