According to a report released by the Department of Health and Human Services, on average, monthly premiums for people who selected plans with tax credits fell 76 percent after subsidies, dropping the cost of the average monthly premium from $346 before tax credits to $82 across all plan types.

Consumers who selected silver plans, the most popular plan type in the federal exchange, paid an average premium of $69 per month with subsidies. And, officials said, nearly half — 46 percent — are paying less than $50 per month.

Roughly 90 percent of consumers who bought coverage through the federal exchange got a subsidy.

So, who is the poor sap that is paying for all of those subsidies?

What about all those people who originally got subsidies and who will end up having to pay them back because the government and exchange can't find their asses with two hands and a map?

Subsidizing premiums does not reduce the premium. They still get paid at full price.

The only way that 76% would be remotely correct if the administration failed to include the millions that lost their previous insurance who are now paying more which seems to be the vast majority of them.

Why are people that can't pay the full premium able to get anything but a bronze package? So some dude that works can't get a subsidy but can only afford a bronze package but a welfare queen with a bunch of welfarkins can get a fully subsidized silver package? frick this place.

Say you're an underaged illegal from Central America and you get three hots and a cot, legal care, health care, etc. on the taxpayer dime.

I'm guessing that information was on Lois Lerner's hard drive.

Yeah.

And they had to go legally through places like Ellis Island to get here, not just show up on the border and say "Where the free shite at?"
