Deputy Commissioner Dean Palmere said officers gained control of the animal with a dog pole and an officer used a knife to cut the dog's throat.

Are police officers actually trained to use extreme force immediately with a possibly vicious animal? Or do sociopathic assholes just naturally gravitate towards pursuing a career in law enforcement. All of these animal cruelty stories committed by cops that have come out over the past couple of years maybe are a bit sensationalized. But I'm really starting to wonder. I honestly don't know a single person that I think would be capable of doing some of this stuff. And it seems to be happening pretty frequently.

In response to this story EBPSO deputies have reportedly now been issued knives in an attempt to save ammunition.

Subduing a dog then slitting its throat?

Even if the dog needed to be put down for biting somebody, that is a pretty sick way of doing it.

I used to make ten, twelve trips a year, typically staying with a friend in a Federal Hill, working in Columbia.

I usually get up there four, five times now. I have several friends there and they all echo that sentiment. They leave their cars unlocked to avoid having windows smashed out for loose change.
