My brother mentioned to me that he wants to do a dove hunt for his bachelor party where we can just drink some beers, smoke cigars, watch football, and obviously, shoot birds. Have any of you ever done something like this? We have a camp but the dove hunting there has never been that great and we will have anywhere from about 12 to 20 guys. Looking to go somewhere around the Shreveport area. Anyone done a hunt like this in the past that can provide some input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Sounds like a really bad idea.

Okay, why?

These are not jackass college students these are close friends of ours growing up who are all now professionals, I am not worried a bit.

Covey rise. Did it for my bachelor party. North of Covington.

Great staff, tons of stuff to do, stocked fields the morning of the hunt. A little pricey but we all had a good time.
then just an hour drive to New Orleans if you want to do a night there too

Every bachelor party I've been too had some guys I did not know well or at all because of different friend groups. Every one had had a total jackass that I would not want to be near with alcohol and guns. YMMV.

An understandable concern. Judging from the list of guys he would want there, I think we are in the clear

This. Dove hunting in S & W Texas is much more of an experience than anywhere else!! It's a tradition, a holiday, a lifestyle..... A trip the bachelor would never forget...
