In terms of entire body of work/careers. What say the rant?
I was having this discussion with a couple of buddies recently and none of is could really pick a side.

We were discussing it more in term of entire body of work, not just LSU. So you would take into account Chavis' time and Tenn, Cameron's time in the NFL, and Boom/jimbo's stints as head coaches and Coordinators elsewhere.
ETA: will add this to the OP.

Jimbo and Muschamp while at LSU??? Cam and Chavis not even close.
J&M were very young coaches with a lot to learn to become who they are today.
Cam and Chavis right now are twoof the most seasoned and respected coaches in the country.
ETA: Even today I'd take Cam and Chavis, but during their LSU tenures it's not close imo.
Cam's work with Brees, Rivers, Flacco, Mett, LT, Ronnie Brown, Ray Rice, Gates, Pitta, OBJ, Jarvis, and Randle-El stacks up against any coach at any level. Much less what Jimbo has done at LSU and FSU, which is still very impressive in it's own right.
Even if Chavis and Cam are a draw, Cam puts them over the top.

My opinion...
I wouldn't trade our 'pair' of Co-Od's for any in the country.

solid question, imo. honestly, i've been a fan of chavis, since he was the dc at tennessee. cameron was a HUGE get for les, and under normal circumstances, he probbaly would have stayed in the nfl, after he was let go by the ravens. i'm probably being a homer, but i'll go with chavis/cam.

He wasn't really the DC at LSU though.
