I am having a kidney stones blasted tomorrow.

I am getting one blasted tomorrow. Has anyone here ever had this done before?

Never had lithotripsy but my dad and brother said you hurt like hell after its done. Kinda like you got beat up

yes..i got mine blasted and pulled out with the basket..
the blasted piece was 20mm..
needless to say it fricking sucked..

I will be put under to have it blasted, but won't be put under when the doc pulls the stent out my boy later on.

yep...long time ago...
it is not something that I would consider fun, but it certainly beats the alternatives...
honestly, they gave me some sedatives so I really didn't give much of a shite about it at the time...you just basically sit in a tub of water and that shite goes to work...
fwiw, you will be pissing blood for a few days afterwards and will feel pretty drained from the whole ordeal, but it is really nothing compared to the pain of natural stonebirth....

Ha ha. Doc said I need to quit drinking sweet tea, told him where I come from that is like holy water. But I listened and haven't any tea or sodas in about 3 months which is good for me. Plus I lost a out 30 lbs after I quit drinking them.

I'm jk, I know what they are, but I don't know why some people get them, and some don't, just thankful that I haven't had the experience(it's a career ender for me.) Best of luck with it.

Yes had a lithotripsy a couple yrs back. Didn't feel much. When woke up felt like someone punched my side pretty good but other than that it no big deal. Doc said other option and cheaper option was to stick a tube up my dick to retrieve the stone and I told him frick no let's go with the lithotripsy $5000 later still best damn choice I made.

doc had me on restrictions of dairy and also tea...after about the third stone, he lifted all dietary restrictions...
fwiw, over the years, I have decided that mine come from simply not drinking enough fluids...I now chug the hell out of fluids and haven't had one in a good while now....

Also stop eating greasy and high salted foods and to not drink too much milk. Doc said main culprits. The while cake myth isn't total bs just bad for bladder and does still contribute to kidney stones but not as much as ppl think.

I had a 2mm on the left a 3mm and 7mm on the right. That pain is a real bitch until you have one of those things you don't understand what serious pain is. Is rather be kicked in the nuts 50 times then have another one of those assholes.
But when I went to the hospital they put me on morphine and that is the shite! I went from screaming to laughing in about ten minutes. Was 18 at the time and my dad drove me there at midnight and he was falling out of the chair laughing at me on that shite.
