What was it exactly?

A 4-4-2 I think. We can't do that against Portugal IMO. They will kill us out wide

It was supposed to be a 4-4-2 diamond, but after we went up early and as the game went on, I think Bradley played pretty even with Beckerman defensively with the exclusive license to move forward (like Turkey 2nd half but w/Jones out wide left)

We need to do the 4-3-2-1 like we did against Nigeria. That looked way better.
We just looked really lost in transition.
We had no service to our forwards and just were shite in possession all along.

I don't know if it changed when we went up or not, because Altidore/Dempsey never tracked back defensively to form the 4-3-2-1 from the diamond like we did against Nigeria, but I was glad we didn't position Bradley ahead of the three midfielders. Though he didn't play well, his presence even with Beckerman was pretty crucial at times
