I will be joining either Le triomphe or oakbourne (golf courses in Lafayette), and was wondering which yall thought was better and why. They are both about the same price range and same distance from my house

Only played LT lately. I'll ask around and get opinions.

My FIL lives on Le Triomphe. I really like it out there.

Played both...both great courses.
Oakbourne is closed this summer because they are replacing every green and fixing a few other things so it should be top notch in a few months.
Girlfriends grandfather lives in Le triomphe and plays it 3-4 times per week. Said the greens are in rough shape right now but Im pretty sure they are not that great anywhere.
Id play both and walk around and all that and whatever one you like better go with it. Cant really go wrong.

Like em both actually...
LT probably a nicer community and a big layout
Oakbourne a cooler old-school kind of club with a great layout and what I imagine will be awesome greens

I prefer Oakbourne for golf and LT for ammenities. I really, really like the golf course at Oakbourne and the condition is always top notch. The same cannot be said for LT.

Oakbourne is 4-5 shots tougher than LT, on average and could be even more w pin placements.
Anybody above single digit hdcp would probably enjoy LT more.
Being a big fan of Santa Maria's layout, I have a soft spot for LT. They were both designed by Jones, but I don't think you can debate that Oakbourne is more challenging and when in good shape, a better track.
