refresh my memory...I remember the siege at a castle and some dude escaping...I can't remember. I just remember lancel is a boring mess and that's about it

and Tyrion's story just gets really boring now
all I'm really excited about seeing next season is Jon/Stannis and Bran

Jaime and Brienne barely have any left for another season. Cersei doesn't really have anything beyond a season. Unless they want to make the whole season her vs. Margaery, then do the sept stuff in season 2. It could end with her being imprisoned. Sansa is tapped out. Arya has one season. Bran has one season. Dany has one season.
Tyrion may have 2. Jon definitely has 2.

I think the show should put a focus on the Manderlys (Think that's the right family. The fatasses loyal to the Starks). I really enjoyed reading all of their scheming: (1) sending Davos on a mission to find Rickon Stark; (2) Frey Pies. I think if done right, and that includes expanding some things not specific in the books, the Northern storyline should be legit.
I also think the Aegon Targaryen should be a major focus. Him meeting up with Tyrion, Tyrion giving him the awesome speech/pep talk, and then landing in Westeros. Again, should be some expanding beyond the books to flesh this out, but should be good.

Tyrion's had a lot going on IMO. Arya traveling around westeros in the 2nd and 3rd book were my favorite sections.
I'm looking forward to the aforementioned Jon/Stannis and Bran, but also Tyrion, Dany, Cersei's imprisonment in the sept of baelor
