With hundreds of commemorative days, many pretty worthless, I find this one to be worthwhile. Many public land areas are waiving user fees. Time to introduce kids ito traditional camping, canoeing, hiking and other recreational outdoor activities.

Sadly, this one gets little press,

I did the yard work this morning and have since cleaned my patio, grill, smoker, and pit outside.

Got a 15 year old from Arkansas who's staying with us for a month to go fishing today, which was quite a feat. Kid plays video games 16 hours a day. The idea of Outdoors day is to introduce kids, many who have never seen a real forest what opportunities it presents to them.
