if she was't a clinton, she wouldn't have an job with nbc. The only way she justifies her salary in the free market is if she interviews Monica Lewinsky, that would bring some ratings. ITs basically a bribe just like comcast putting money into msnbc is bribe to get pols off their back so they get merge with time warner or other dealing. Same reason Amazon guy bought the was post or google pumps $ into DC lobby machine.

A bunch of her parents' friends have been trying to find her a soft landing somewhere for years but it doesn't work because she's fricking horrible at whatever they try to make her do.
The NBC contract is a case of them trying to make her an on-air personality like others from the Clinton sphere, like George Stephanopolis at ABC, but one that failed miserably because she was awkward as frick on camera and it was clear she didn't belong on screen.

I don't hate Chelsea. I do hate the MSM's constant reference to her as 'beautiful'. She's ugly as a goat's arse. She got hit with an ugly stick from way back. Not her fault. It's genes. But the MSM keeps lying about it.

I'm pretty sure I saw one of the Bush twins reporting on NBC the other day.
Is this what daughters of former presidents do now? I didn't know that either her or Chealsea Clinton was in that business until I saw them on television. I imagine having a parent that was high up in government helps secure that gig for you.

probably but chelsea is probably not going to be first lady or sec of state, those years were hard on HRC.

She also held positions with McKinsey Consulting and Avenue Capital Group, despite having no academic background in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or any other relevant fields of study for those firms. She's also on the Board of Directors for IAC/Interactive (Fortune 500 companies often load up their boards with prominent politicians and/or their spouses & kids). While I have no reason to doubt her intelligence, skill and work ethic, she definitely leads a privileged life and probably wouldn't have had those opportunities if her last name wasn't Clinton. For that matter, there's an awful lot of dudes named "Bush" who wouldn't be where they are with a different last name....

Bottom line - she isn't netting 600k b/c of her "insightful reporting" nor based on her merits, but her last name.
Can't fault her, chances are most of us would do the same.

naw she traveled a ton. And that is hard on the body. I travel for work about 25-30 days a year and it will kick you in the arse. She did like 75-100 a year.
I have heard she can put back some wine though, and that doesn't help. Bill also smoked in the 80s, that can really age you.
