What is the first thing you think about when receiving orders that you will be going home on such-n-such date? I'm pretty sure I know the answer but it is only opinion on my part.

The reason I ask is because I find this situation with BB not contacting his parents after two weeks of "freedom" very strange. The fact that his parents were privy to classified documents concerning their son but yet they haven't seen him yet just doesn't add up considering all the hype that has been shed on the subject of his release. There's got to be some underlying agenda going on here but I don't have a clue as to what it could be.

Well, I'm not overseas now, but buck when I was doing that thing, it should be pointed out that usually, you know when you're returning the day you fly off(at least plus or minus a few days).

As for BB. Obviously, his situation is different. I really have no idea what's up with his parents. Is he even being allowed to try to contact them? IE, is he failing to contact them or unable?

I can't begin to try to get into the mind of a traitor.

A part of me keeps hoping this was some sort of CIA operation to infiltrate the Taliban and they have to keep playing along despite them looking like morons so other covers aren't blown.

Typically, give or take.

It's not like WWII ... when our men left ... not having a clue when they'd return ... because most probably felt like there was a good possibility that they would not...unless it was in a casket or bodybag.

Maybe BB is like Private Santiago ... early riser, late packer, no friends.

You see ... I am an educated man, but I cannot comment on the travel habits of Bowe Bergdahl.

They better have gained some damned good intel that prevented another 911 from happening. I don't think that theory holds much water though.
