Looking for a place in the Garden District

What's the best place to find out? I've tried craigslist with little luck and I drove around and didn't see many for rent signs.
I'm not totally set on the garden district, but like the area. 1BR in particular. Would like a small backyard.

Off Terrace or Park is ideal

Either get a roommate or pay more money for a bigger place

My dad is selling our condo off of Perkins on Christian street. It's called Christian street town homes. It's a 2 bed room 2 1/2 bath. Not in the garden district but still close and in a good area.

Wow, I'm looking for the same thing, a 1 or 2 bedroom place with a backyard for a dog in the garden district, lakes, capital heights, old goodwood, 100 oaks, ect

Consider neighboring Capital Heights and Ogden Park as well

I lived on Rittiner about ten yrs ago. The garden district is a dump. Roachy, car breakins, street parking.

Roachy is the perfect word for it. Lived near Kleinert and S. Eugene for two years. Not sure why it's such a desirable area given the violent crime that goes on nearby. One if my neighbors got busted by a DEA task force and I remember a handful of murders less than a mile north of there

Doesn't exist. I just moved out of the Garden District. I adored it, but there were no 1bedrooms and I'm finished with roommates.
Sorry.

You can find a 2-bedroom if you look really hard, but it won't be cheap.
My $850/month was a STEAL. My landlord lives out of town and didn't realize what others were charging.

Add Southdowns to that list. There are plenty of 2 and 3 bedroom places there. Just use the extra room for am office

Yeah, lots of roaches. We had mice too.

Gross. And yet it's so pricey to live there.

Meh. I didn't have a problem with either one, though I'm sure it exists in plenty of homes.. Kinda what happens when you live under tons of trees.
