Saw some nice Roto blurbs on LSU players today

quote:

Dolphins signed No. 63 overall pick WR Jarvis Landry to a four-year contract. A 5-foot-11, 205-pound player out of LSU, Landry has seen time at all three receiver positions in OTAs. A Hines Ward-esque receiver, Landry will push Brandon Gibson for No. 3 duties, but will likely settle in as the Dolphins' fourth wideout. He'll also contribute on special teams.

quote:

The Seattle Times' Jayson Jenks said second-year CB Tharold Simon had "the best day of any player" at Seahawks OTAs. The 6-foot-3 Simon went high to pick off two passes and earned praise from a sidelined Richard Sherman when he forced a running play back inside. Simon spent all of 2013 sidelined with a foot injury, but he has been pegged as a player ready to step up this season. He will compete for outside corner duties in Seattle's sub packages.

Good to hear Simon is playing well in camp off that injury.

Simon was very underrated. He did a great job in 2012 locking down the opposing #1. Plus he's a great fit for the seattle D.

Some people may think I'm crazy but Simon could possibly be better than Sherman down the road. Just think about it he is as tall and big as Sherman and he is a better athlete, hell I think a better man to man corner. I didn't say this year but he could be a better pure man to man corner and move all over the field in the near future.

He had a tough time living up to Peterson and then Mo as the #1 corner and then he got into some minor trouble with the law pre draft and this board really piled onto him and pretty much forgot him it seems

Now he's healthy and in the perfect scheme fit

If you think Simon is a better athlete and smarter than Sherman... They're about the same height but athletic wise isn't even close. I don't think there's another corner in the lg at 6'3 that can run like Sherman. Sean Smith is pretty good and comparable. If anything, I expect Simon to pan out like a Sean Smith. And can fit in and replace Brandon Browner.

Jarvis on the other hand.... with the plays he will make so special teams, the coaching staff will have pure hell keeping him off the field on offense. Dude will own that depth chart with time.

So your comparing a player with no success in the NFL to a all pro, best corner in the NFL and a super bowl winner.... i like it

Tharold has all kinds of talent, but this boardwas critical of him becaus he mailed it in his last year, as did a few players on that '12 team. Hope he makes it.

I'll be surprised if Landry doesn't surpass Gibson.

Gibson was the Fins best receiver last year before he tore his patella.

But yeah, Jarvis will have the job before too long.

His problem was no hands. Should have had at least 5 more ints in his career.

That will be a tall order. Browner was a Monster at CB for Seattle.

I didn't mean that in a sense of production. Rather having a big 6'2 physical corner, that can run, press and pretty much play good coverage. . He's learning from the best in the league in Sherman, not to mention the other DBs. Just a matter of when he gets his shot to show his worth
