State Farm Commercial - "State of Unrest" (Jake)

This commercial comes on every 10 minutes and I still don't understand why the wife would immediately ask, "What are you wearing Jake from State Farm?" I realize they are trying to get to the punch line but it is just forced out of character. They could have done much more with this situation. Any opinion or is it funny to y'all?

The question is what did Jake say the first time the wife asked who was on the phone after she grabbed it? The husband answered the question for her, so she proceeded to ask about the clothing. So yes, the commercial was arse backwards.
