The Cleveland Cavaliers have reached out to Mark Jackson about their head coaching job, according to sources with knowledge of the team's thinking.

Cavs GM David Griffin telephoned Jackson several days ago and the two spoke, but no formal interview has been scheduled and it is unclear how serious the Cavs' interest in Jackson is, sources said.

Cavs are a dumpster fire ATM.

Not to hijack your thread boX, but what do the Lakers have against him? They're talking to Rambis, Gentry yet MJ is out of the discussion?

They probably realize he'd be a disaster to work with.

I think Jackson holds out for a different job, even if it takes a few seasons.

True, but several coaches have had issues with management and that didn't stop other teams from pursuing them.

I've often wondered if the owners of these teams talk to eachother often and say "Yea, MJ was a self important prick - don't hire him"

No "everyone" doesn't.

This is the internet. You make a thread about Vic Scully and there will be no shortage of people saying how much he sucks.

Yes I meant literally everyone. You may be more annoying than Mark Jackson

Just search Mark Jackson on twitter and then search Vin Scully. Lots of people complaining about Jackson almost nobody says a bad thing about Scully
