Whats the cost to remove a tree and roots?

I recently bought a lot, and I need to remove 3 pecan trees that are about 1.5-2 feet in diameter at the base. I need to remove them before making dirt mound to build on.
Ball part estimate,
How much would it cost to hire someone to remove the trees and roots?
or
If I chop the trees down, how much would it cost to have the stump and roots removed?

For each tree or for all 3?

Wouldn't be surprised if that was / tree.

trees are VERY expensive to remove. Depends on your location, how tall they are, if they are close by to any houses, etc.

Where you at? I might could come lay them down and haul off the wood for a decent price. Don't have a stump grinder though so you would have to get somebody to come do that.

For an open lot with no liability it should be real cheap to get them laid down

Sounds about 25-30' tall. should be no problem to just lay them over on your lot unless they are at the edge or somthing. If you cut them yourself get the stump as low as possible so the grinder spends less time there. The 1000$ someone else mentioned should cover the whole thing though as long as the lot is open.

If you are planning on doing dirt work, you can get a package deal. Call around for someone that does dirt work.

Cost me $800 for 2 pine trees. About a 3 foot base on each tree. Most places will come give you a quote.

Where you located? Hard to say but shouldn't be too much on an open lot. I cut 11 last Saturday in a half a day and piled them up in two piles for the owner to burn. If you can do that it will save you some money because haul off will cost more than dropping three trees in the open. Call 3 companies and get quotes. Stumps shouldn't be but about 100-150 for all three.

Yes the lot is all open. There are neighboring lots that are empty. No ones house is nearby. I doubt they could be burned in this subdivision though.
It is in raceland Mathews area.
My brother in law has a chainsaw and a trailer. We may cut them, haul them, and then I would just need the stumps grinded. Depends on the cost to cut and haul.

Cut those down yourself... pile them up. Once they dry and are an eyesore for 6 months or so, they'll be happy you burned them.
Eta: Make your burn piles on your stumps.

you may find someone to buy the pecan wood from you on craiglist. check w/ local BBQ joints on who cooks w/ pecan.
if that doesn't work, just post "free pecan wood" and save your back the labor of loading them on the trailer and hauling them off. lots of people like it to cook with.

Yes but will they pull the stump out of ground before making my dirt mound.
The 3 trees are where the foundation of home and driveway need to be.
I don't want the stump and roots to rot in the ground years down the road under my slab and make it crack.

I just had 2 pecans and 1 oak tree cut by a contractor working for my electric company. The had to piece it down because of lines going to houses and a major feeder line running thru. They have been trimmed before but always grew back. When they arrived I said can u just cut them down this time and they said hell yes. There was no use for em, didn't produce hardly any pecans(they were small) and no shade value and a lot of work to rake. They grinded the small shite and I kept the big shite for firewood for my daughters. I bet I've had 5 people wanting that wood from seeing it from the road. Find somebody with a front end loader and cut them yourself, then have the loader dig the stumps out. Probably wouldnt take more than a day, so figure what you would have to pay per hr. Ex: 8hrs x 100 per hour, 800.00 for everything and if the guy has a fireplace, mo betta.

Yes. Not a fan of stump grinding. A few years down the road, one is going to have a sink hole as the roots rot.
