Very excited for the season to begin! Which players do you guys think Les Miles will have to step to the plate and handle the LB position.. I see quite a few have put on some weight during the off season! I'm excited for Kwon this year for sure. But what do you all think? Btw, I have a thought in my head one LB may not see the field as a Tiger may need to transfer if he wants to play (Duke Riley) opinions and thoughts? Don't bash me just a random thought.

Definitely want to see Kwon tear it up. I'm a fan.

I think this is the deepest talent level for our backfield in years. Maybe not the top talent, but the most quality all the way through.

Where would you even come to this conclusion? He's been a beast on STs his freshman year and that's usually a good way to get on the field

He's too small and sadly just not good enough to start here. He is a good player, never said he wasn't but he should transfer to get more PT that he deserves to show off his talent! He will do great elsewhere!

He has done great in purple and gold for just one year so far and he will continue that. The guy bleeds purple and gold. I highly doubt he will ever transfer. He's a beast on special teams.

Obviously, Clifton will see playing time. But, I don't think he'll be ready for the responsibilities of being a Mike linebacker in the SEC. Alexander has a pretty strong grip on his position. There'll be a good bit of rotation at the other two spots IMO.

Kwon Alexander starts at strongside linebacker the whole season

D.J. Welter may start at middle linebacker for the Wisconsin game but I'll be surprised if he's there the whole season. I expect Kendell Beckwith to take over

Lamar Louis probably starts at weakside linebacker for Wisconsin game, who knows where this slot ends up by season's end

Deion Jones, Duke Riley and Clifton Garrett will get significant PT

Did you not follow spring practices? Chavis shuffled everybody around in different positions and said that he could really not tell the difference. You are assuming that he plays MB but after hearing the spring practice interviews Chavis gave, CG is one of the most versatile guys he has seen and will not be limited to MLB early on. He might grow into a full time MLB but he will play regardless

We have one of the best strength and conditioning programs in the country and he hasn't been on the field enough for you to deem him not good enough to play here...so what are you basing this off of?

Lol, okay! Just wait and see I won't say I told you so, though! We have better LBs than him for him to start anytime soon he will have to transfer!

Maybe regardless of playing time he wants to be a tiger for 4 years? Maybe you shouldn't write the kid off after 1 season? Especially after not seeing him play a defensive snap all season.

Get out of your feelings, dude! Yes, he does good on Special Teams but he won't start, sorry! Not in Tiger Stadium we have better players if he was one of our best he would start regardless of age, or size! If he doesn't mind waiting around he will stay if he wants the PT he deserves he needs to go elsewhere before it's too late if he's wanting to go to the NFL! Simple! Plus, we have CG who will be in the mix off the back as a freshman, why? Because, HE is good enough. Duke Riley, simply is not, sorry.
