At the freshman level are there any recommended professors or professors to avoid?

You're trying to avoid professors already?

Just switch to marketing now and save your parents the money.

Yes, they do. They take a couple intro courses as a freshman, a couple more as a sophemore, and really get into the meat of the major in their third year.

just switch to communications if you're worried about which freshman level teachers to take

Everyone will tell you to avoid Jacobs for Statics. I say stick with her b/c she will prepare you best for other engineering classes. If you can't handle what she has to offer then you need to switch to General Studies

You're pretty much stuck with whoever you get for PETE classes, certain teachers only teach certain subjects. None of the PETE teachers are bad, classes were pretty easy for the most part. Except Dahi, frick that dude, he's an a-hole. Not sure what he teaches now though, I had him for some computer methods bullshite.

You want to avoid certain teachers for Physics, Thermo, Statics, Dynamics, Math, Strengths, etc.

Thurber taught the PETE intro when I was there. Not sure if he's still around.

For your higher level classes, Hughes was the man. That goofy dude from Purdue was pretty terrible.

That's all I got.

All PETE classes are only offered in either 1 or 2 sections a semester with the same teacher usually.
